The second edition of “Wedding in Chianti”, an event dedicated to the world of weddings, is coming to the Chianti region. It’s promoted by the Pro Loco of San Casciano in collaboration with the Municipality.
This event promotes the excellent quality of the local (wedding-related) services and hospitality industry, and will take place at Villa Le Corti, a prestigious historic residence located in San Casciano, on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October, from 10am to 8pm.
This is a great opportunity for dozens of companies based in the Chianti, that operate in the wedding sector, to promote their services to experts and all wedding enthusiasts, and show everything the area has to offer that will make your day truly special.
You’ll find plenty of inspiration, from stunning locations like historical residences and beautiful landscapes, to floral decoration, from couture dresses to catering and everything about the wedding reception, including decoration and musical staging.
The Pro Loco GenerEventi group aims at enhancing the resources and the quality of local companies that work in the wedding sector, and also at promoting the natural beauty and the values of the age-old rural traditions of this land.
The event was created by a dozen young people from San Casciano – who attended an events management course promoted by the Municipality – and reached great popularity after the launch of an online photo contest. There’s a Facebook the page dedicated to the competition: in ”Married from Wedding in Chianti” the most compelling wedding images are selected and the winning couple receives a romantic weekend as a gift.
“Wedding in Chianti aims to give visibility to each of the companies that exhibit in the setting of Villa Le Corti – explain the organisers – We’d like to focus on the high quality of all the wedding related services to create a network that can contribute to boost this aspect of the Chianti economy. There’s so much potential here. We’d also love to create a multimedia catalog for people to browse online, making it easy to choose and organise every aspect of the wedding event, an operation that can be quite complicated sometimes”.
“Wedding in Chianti, un territorio da sposare” includes a tour of the most beautiful villas and historic residences of San Casciano, which were once inhabited by noble Florentine families.
“One of the strengths of this edition is the Location Tour – explain the organisers – which includes at least two tours to three locations (each tour lasts one and a half hours). The tours will depart from Villa Le Corti and it’s possible to make a reservation on the website or on site. The Location Tour is free for all the participants. The visit to each location lasts roughly 30 minutes”.
Many different sectors will be represented in this exhibit: photography, clothes, food and beverage, floral arrangements, make-up and hairdressers, entertainments, organisers and wedding planners. Free admission.
