Trekking excursion on Mount San Michele (Greve in Chianti), Sunday, June 26 with the group “Le Vie del Chianti”. From the charming village of Casole overlooking the Val di Greve to Lamole and then, through a forest road, through forests of oak and chestnut trees, the character stone village of Badiaccia a Montemuro, where in the Middle Ages stood a Camaldolese monastery.

It then climbs to the summit of Monte San Michele, through thick pine forests into the nature reserve, and soon here at Fattoria San Michele with the adjoining chapel of the twelfth century, with a stop and rest in the shade of towering firs.

Ad the winery Castellinuzza Piuca a tasty wine-based snacks, cold cuts and cheeses, produced with genuine preparation.

Meeting point: 8.30 am at the San Casciano pool. Excursion duration: full day. Transfer: own means. Length: 13 km. Difficulty: easy / medium. Commitment: medium. Needed: packed lunch, water, hiking shoes mandatory. Participation fee: € 10 per guide + € 8 for sampling at the farm.
