Two days to celebrate San Bartolomeo Apostolo, patron saint of Barberino Val d’Elsa, the next 23 and 24 August.
It begins Friday 23rd at 9pm with the vigil of prayer.
Saturday 24 the program is very dense. It begins at 9.00 am with Mass. At 10.30 am “Leonardo Frosali” Sports court inauguration, after the long redevelopment works.
Then at 4.30pm “From San Bartolo to San Bartolomeo” guided tour in the history of Barberino. At 6pm Vespers and at 6.30pm Holy Mass in which the city authorities will participate.
At 8 pm here is “Da Porta a Porta”, 27th edition of the traditional dinner of wild boar and “arrosto girato”. Entertainment during dinner with Marcialla’s “Bandaccia”.

The small San Bartolomeo Fair will be active from 5.30pm to midnight: local craft market in the historic center.
There will also be a visit to the historic cellars in the Barberino underground and tasting of the products at the Fattoria Pasolini Dall’Onda Borghese.
The party is organized by the Barberino Val d’Elsa Economic Operators Association, by the Parish of S. Bartolomeo and by the Team on wildboars hunters, with the contribution of the Municipality of Barberino Tavarnelle.
