Three great voices and performers and three different ways to see reality in its various forms: the musical summer of Barberino Val d’Elsa comes to life from July 17 to 27 with the third edition of Terra InCantata, program that explores popular music in a suggestive corner of Chianti: piazza Barberini in Barberino Val d’Elsa. The initiative is organized by Nem – Nuovi Eventi Musicali and promoted by the Town Union of Chianti Fiorentino in collaboration with Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio.
Simone Cristicchi
The opening event will take place on Monday, July 17 with the song writer, actor and writer Simone Cristicchi who interprets Sergio Endrigo.
It is an original project of NEM, in which the Roman singer and writer will give new life to the great successes of the music maker who died 12 years ago.
Next to Simone will be Riccardo Ciaramellari on the piano and the string quartet, “I Nostri Tempi”, who will also play music by Mozart and Beethoven (begins at 9:30 PM, entrance, 10 euro).
On Wednesday, July 19, Terra InCantata will feature Don Pasta, writer, dj and food lover, world famous for his performances that mix music, words and excellent cuisine.
Don Pasta
He will be at the festival with his latest project, Artusi Remix, with which he gathers information from the celebrated volume of recipes by Pellegrino Artusi and creates a census of domestic Italian cooking today. He tries to understand what has changed since the time of our grandparents. (begins at 9:30 PM, free entrance.)
Frida Neri
The last appointment is for Thursday, July 27, with the voice of Frida Neri, who, together with Fabio Mina on flute, will bring her last album, “Alma” to the stage. (begins at 9:30 PM, free entrance).
