Traditional popular theater of “bruscello poliziano”, with winetasting and local products.

The Bruscello is a form of traditional folk theater born in Tuscany usually staged inside the big farmhouses. It was represented by itinerant companies of peasant raising a “bruscello” (a twig) and moving from farm estate in the streets, at intersections and in front of the Churches, with the purpose of begging, for a dinner of the whole company.

The historic Bruscello of Castelnuovo Berardenga, disappeared along with the sharecropping and resumed at the end of the 90’s, succeeded in aggregating a growing number of people and in attracting thousands of spectators each year.
