September is the month of the grape harvest, and it’s clearly a special time in Greve in Chianti, where over 50 Chianti Classico wineries showcase their wines to the public.
Wine tasting stands will fill piazza Matteotti in the centre, and there will be much excitement around town.
Everyone’s getting ready for the 48th edition of the Chianti Classico Expo: from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th September 2018 the call of the Gallo Nero, the Chianti’s Black Rooster, will be heard loud and clear.
Under the spotlights you’ll find the tasting and sales stands of the Chianti Classico producers.
They’ll be open on Thursday 6th 5pm-10pm; Friday 7th from 11am to 10pm; Saturday 8th from 11am to 8pm; Sunday 9th from 11am to 8pm.
You’ll also find guided tours (by appointment only), art exhibitions, music and dance shows, Diotto religious procession, tours, artisan workshops, walking tours, and various thematic meetings.
