From Hell to Heaven. It is appropriate to say it, with the return of Tuscan wine tourism which this year will have as its main theme the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of the death of the Supreme Poet, Dante Alighieri.

Dante in Vigna is in fact the leitmotiv chosen by the Movimento Turismo del Vino Toscana to celebrate the activities that will bring wine lovers back to the cellar from May to December.

And the first occasion will be the return of Cantine Aperte, the famous appointment for wine lovers that from 29 to 30 May will also return to Tuscan wineries.

Dante in Vigna

On the occasion of the anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death, all the events promoted by the Cantine di MTV Toscana will, as mentioned, be linked to the theme of Dante and giving life to the largest widespread event of Dante in Vigna.

It is a campaign that starts from Tuscany to tell the story of the vineyard and Dante on the occasion of this important anniversary.

From tastings combined with readings of passages from the Divine Comedy between the rows to events related to red wine representing Hell, pink for Purgatory and white for Paradise.

Also picnics, trekking and activities for children.

Cantine Aperte and Vigneti Aperti in the name of Dante

These are the two events that will characterize wine tourism in Tuscany.

In particular, the Cantine Aperte format, now a must, will be back in attendance (in 2020 there was no pandemic) from 29 to 30 May, when the wineries will organize special programs.

Vigneti Aperti is instead the novelty of the year, designed above all to give the possibility of spreading traditional activities throughout the year.

In fact, from May 1st until November the member wineries of the Tuscany Wine Tourism Movement will organize various types of events.

The programs of all the initiatives will be updated on www.mtvtoscana.com.
