Friday, August 10th: “Calici di Stelle” Wine Festival is back in Tavarnelle.
This year you have the opportunity to taste various wines from local producers (Azienda Agricola Poggio alle Lame, Azienda Agricola Vignano, Azienda Agricola Giannozzi, Azienda Agricola San Donatino, Azienda Agricola Il Bacio, Azienda Agricola La Spinosa), and also enjoy them during dinner at the restaurant.
From 7pm you’ll find music, markets and, obviously, the best locally produced wines.
This festival in Tavarnelle, born out of the collaboration between local companies, shop owners and the Pro Loco, create a “tasting route” through the streets of the historic centre to enliven the town and give people the chance to taste local wines and food.
You’ll find an artisan market and various stands where local producers sell their wines and food products. The Pro Loco will take care of setting up one or more stalls from which you can buy the tasting glasses for free tasting at the wine stands.
The exhibitors will offer their wines for tasting only to those who have bought the glasses (appropriately prepared for the occasion). Each winery will be combined with a wine shop that for this occasion will only serve the wines of that specific producer, without offering their usual wines.
Exclusively for the evening of 10th August, the wine shops or enoteche will not sell their own wines or the ones usually available in their shop, but will only offer the wines of the producers present at the event.
