The Gastronomarcia is not a competitive race, but a fairly challenging walk through the Monsanto woods, vineyards and country roads (in the Barberino Tavarnelle area), with refreshment points set up along the route. From breakfast, to aperitivi and lunch taken ‘in stages’ along the route.
This is a perfect opportunity to spend a day in nature, taste some delicious dishes, and admire the suggestive landscapes of the Chianti.
The proceeds of this event will be entirely donated to the Parish of San Ruffignano in Monsanto, to contribute to the renovation work of this country church.
It will take place on Sunday 2nd June. The meeting point is at the church of San Ruffignano, in Monsanto. Departures from 8.30am to 9.30am. Vegetarian menus on request, upon registration. Cost: adults 20 euros, children (15 to 18 years old) 15 euros, children (6 to 14 years old) 10 euros. Younger children free. Registration closes on May 30th.
The younger participants have the opportunity to reach some of the refreshment points by walking along the main road (ask more detailed information at the time of registration).
