Sweet golden fritters cooking in a huge pan. The scenic hamlet of Montefioralle. There’s something magical about the much-anticipated Sagra delle Frittelle in Montefioralle, that happens as Spring approaches.

Gluttons arrive in their droves at this former castle above Greve in Chianti from every corner of Tuscany, attracted by the magnetic force of the fritters.

Organized by the Comitato Turistico Montefioralle (together with the Municipality of Greve in Chianti), the Festival will be held on Saturday 17^th and Sunday 18^th March.

On Saturday 17^th from 2pm, the cooking of the fritters will take place, accompanied by wine and vinsanto, sandwiches and crostini. From 7pm at the Circolo Montefioralle, “APERIFrittelle” with “O Brian Bombers”, traditional Irish folk music.

On Sunday 18^th the fritters will be cooked, and served from 10am to 6pm along with vinsanto, wine, sandwiches and crostini. From 3pm to 6pm live music with the group “Roll Rocker & The Double Trumbles”, rockabilly ‘50s-‘80s and rocking swing.

On Sunday from 11am to 7pm, a free shuttle service will also be running from Greve in Chianti (Piazza Trento) to get to Montefioralle without needing a car. Departures every 30 minutes.
