As far as the eye can see, for 360 degrees! There are people who call the Torre dell’Acqua the Torre del Chianti.

This is the old aqueduct of San Casciano, functional even today, that for years, after a long restoration, has offered a fantastic terrace facing the surrounding territory.

It is an element of industrial archeology created in modern fashion. Through the external elevator we travel up 33 meters. From here the view is literally breathtaking. The roofs of San Casciano, the trees and gardens of piazza Republica and viale Garibaldi, the Niccolini Theatre, and the convent of the Clarisse nuns are visible. And then, in the distance, you can see the Pesa valley, the area of Empoli and Florence.

Last summer, unforgettable cocktail hours were set up here at sunset. They will be repeated this summer. In the mean time, if you want to go up to the top, you can reserve and get information from the Museum of Giuliano Ghelli in San Casciano, Via Lucardesi 10 (055-8256385) museo@comune.san- casciano-val-di-pesa.fi.it  or from the Antes Association (055-8294786).
