Spring is coming, and with it the tourist offices around the Chianti region will open their doors, ready to welcome tourists and locals. There are four information points in the Florentine and the Sienese Chianti.

The service, born from the integrated management of tourist promotion and hospitality in the Municipalities of Barberino Tavarnelle, San Casciano and Castellina in Chianti, is managed by the Cooperativa Itur s.C.

Throughout March, the offices will be opened in Barberino Val d’Elsa, at the Spedale dei Pellegrini, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 1pm – In Tavarnelle, in Piazza Matteotti, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 3pm to 6pm, on Thursday and Sunday from 10am to 1pm, on Saturday from 10am to 1pm, and from 3pm to 6pm

In San Casciano, the office in via Machiavelli is open on Monday from 10am to 1pm. The tourist office in San Casciano will be open for longer hours, the extended timetable starting from April.

Regarding tourist accommodation facilities, we remind all the managers of Tourist Rentals that the online procedure for communicating the tourist leases to the Municipality is now operative – as foreseen by article 70 of regional law 86/2016 (Consolidated text of the regional tourism system ).

The communication must be carried out on an online platform made available by the Regione Toscana. This new tool requires the user to fill in both the notification to the municipality where the accommodation facility is located, and that of the tourist flows to the ‘comuni capoluogo’ or the Metropolitan City – mandatory, pursuant to Article 84 bis of the Regional Law 86/2016.

It should also be noted that the user has to notify each individual rented accommodation, given that each one is assigned its own identification code. Whomever rents out tourist accommodation has to make a notification within thirty days from the signing of the first rental contract.

On the website of the Regione Toscana there is a dedicated page: http://www.regione.toscana.it/-/comunicazione-locazioni-turistiche.
