"Thursday in Castellina". Street music, markets, food and various entertainments

Street music, markets and lots of fun return to Castellina in Chianti on the occasion of the “Thursday in Castellina” (“Giovedì in Castellina”), scheduled every Thursday until 26^th July.

The events are part of the “Estate a Castellina” calendar and will start from 6pm, involving the historic centre, Piazza del Comune and Parco delle Casce, where several food stalls will be set up.

Every Thursday, moreover, the Archaeological Museum of the Sienese Chianti will be open until 11pm – starting from 7pm it will be possible to visit the exhibition “Massimo Vinattieri, tra memorie dell’antico e astrazioni contemporanee” (Memories of the ancient past and contemporary abstractions), which has been recently inaugurated and will stay open until September 2^nd.

Visitors have the chance to explore this territory’s past and to travel back to Etruscan times, from Castellina in Chianti to Artimino, in the province of Prato.

The four events are promoted by the Gruppo Idea Giovani and the Associazione Culturale Giuliano da Sangallo, with the contribution of the Municipality of Castellina in Chianti.
