Spring is finally here, and we all agree that Easter is the perfect time to take a relaxing break.

And what place could be better to enjoy the awakening of nature after the winter than the scenic landscape of the Chianti region?

The world-famous Chianti Classico hills, in the municipality of Greve in Chianti, are simply ideal. Here you find breathtaking landscapes, exquisite food and excellent wine.

On Easter Monday, 2nd April, Greve’s main square will host the traditional antique and vintage market “Mercatino delle cose del passato”. A fun event which is a great opportunity to enjoy this friendly small town.

And while you’re in the area, we suggest you stop at the splendid Castello Vicchiomaggio, on the road that leads from Greve in Chianti to the Giobbole and Chiocchio hills.

Here you’ll have the chance to taste the castle’s products, to visit the historic cellars and have a great lunch or dinner with locally produced traditional dishes (on Easter Day and Easter Monday menu à la carte).

You could also book a night at one of the castle’s suites, an ideal break from the busy city life.
