Visittuscany.com, the new travel website dedicated to Tuscany, is a project of the Regione Toscana – set up by Fondazione Sistema Toscana with the collaboration of Toscana Promozione Turistica – and replaces www.turismo.intoscana.it.

The entire editorial content produced in the last years and the databases have been integrated with new formats, adapted to the needs of digital visitors: experiences, impressions and feelings are shared on social media by tourists from every corner of the world. The result is a dynamic and constantly evolving platform.

Visitors can now plan their holidays by coming into contact with the 17.000 Tuscan accommodation facilities and taking advantage of the offers of tour operators.

From July to December 2017 Visittuscany.com recorded 1.340.000 page views and almost 800.000 visits made by 620.000 unique visitors. 55% visits by mobile device. Most clicks come from Italy (47%), followed by the United States (17%) and the United Kingdom (9%).

The top destinations of the Italian visitors are, in order: Pistoia, the Italian capital of culture 2017, Florence and Siena. Slightly different the preferences of the English-speaking visitors who mainly search for information about Florence, Siena and Lucca.

Among the various areas of Tuscany, everybody prefers the Chianti, both Italian and foreign tourists.
