“When you’re tired … ride faster”. A new group of cyclists has just emerged from the land of the “Eroica”, in Gaiole in Chianti, at the heart of the Sienese Chianti. They’re what we call… romantic souls.
Two friends (Mirco and Giovanni), aged 28 and 33, have come together in the name of their great passion for mountain biking: “Our venture – they tell us – was about having fun, and putting ourselves to the test”.
But what is “I Chiodi del Chianti & Friends” about exactly?
“We live in Gaiole in Chianti – they continue – we are passionate about the world of mountain biking and we have an endless fascination for our territory… It’s a winning combination”.
“We’ve set up this Facebook page – they tell us –hoping to create a large and enthusiastic group, and to share our passion with other like-minded people. We work in different sectors, and we’re not interested in turning our passion into a source of income, we think that the greatest wealth is the one we have inside. It has helped us take this initiative forward and every day it takes us further with our bikes, without any pressure!”.
“The spirit of the group and the page in fact – they conclude – is just this, get together, make some excursions on our beloved mountain bikes and meet for a chat, some food and maybe even a glass of Chianti Classico”.
