Friday 17th November Vitique Wine & Food Boutique in Greti (Greve in Chianti) organises a truly unique tasting event.

This is an evening for those who love experimenting, for the most daring food lovers. Vitique teams up with the top-quality chocolate brand Vestri to create a tasting experience that will delight your senses

 

And that will be accompanied by the wines of Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo: from Franciacorta to Sicily, passing through Alto Adige, Veneto and Tuscany.

During the evening the theatrical Danielo Vestri will be revealing the secrets of the chocolate artistry and its most intriguing stories: from his Santo Domingo plantations to the world’s largest ‘cremino’ chocolate which set the Guinness World Record in 2015: “It all started with the” kakaw “, the treasure of the New World, in the languages ​​spoken in Mexico and Central America. For over thirty years, Vestri has been turning this precious fruit into chocolate, melting the hearts of men, women and children”.

Do you need more reasons to come? Here’s the menu: Chicken liver tartufo, with chocolate and Vinsanto gel (Ca’ del Bosco – Cuvèe Prestige brut); beef tartare, cauliflower, chocolate and caper-flavoured salt (Santa Margherita – Cabernet Franc Lison Pramaggiore Doc 2014); risotto with cockerel, porto sauce and chocolate (Sassoregale – Merlot Maremma Toscana Doc 2015); beef cheek, creamy potatoes and chocolate fava beans (Terrelìade – Utti Majuri Sicilia Doc 2015); dark chocolate and red berry dessert (Kettmeir – Moscato Rosa Athesis Alto Adige doc 2012); chocolate tasting (Lamole di Lamole – Grappa di Chianti Classico).

 

The evening will start at 8pm with a welcome aperitif, followed by a tour of the Santa Margherita Tenimenti Toscani cellar, and the tasting dinner begins at 8:30pm. Price: 40 euros per person.
