The “Sagra del Pinolo” (Pine nut festival) returns to Chiesanuova in the Township of San Casciano from June 9-18.
The event is dedicated to one of the key products of the Chianti territory. The outdoor restaurant is always open. There you can drink and eat, especially the unique “pinolata”. The organizers are the Crc of Chiesanuova who offer a very rich program.
Friday, June 9: 8 PM BOXING. L’A.S.D. Sempre Avanti Firenze presents a great evening of boxing with professional matches on an international level. At 9:30 PM, the “Bar West Birra Giromatto”, presentation of new artisanal beers and live music with the “Thunderbins”, acoustic duet offering cover pop/dance/rock.
Saturday, June 10: stands open at 5 PM; 6 PM, permanent collection of thimbles from 1700 to today; 9:30 PM, “Bar West”, live music with “P.O.R.R.O. 2.0”, cover band Punk Rock.
Sunday, June 11: 9.30 AM, Holy Mass in the park; 12.30 PM, lunch at the “I Pinolo” restaurant; 4 PM, market with local artisan and antique stands 5 PM, exposition and exhibition of predatory birds, “I Falconieri (hawksmen) del Re”; 6 PM, live music with “La Bandaccia”; 9:30 PM, “Bar West” live music with “Testacoda”, various genres and different personal tastes create a young rock’n roll.
Monday, June 13: 7:30 PM at the “l’Pinolo restaurant”, themed dinner, “l’girarrosto”. reservations required. For others, outdoor restaurant with the festival menu; 9:30 PM, “Bar West” live music with “Perfidia Trio”, Cuban music like “Compay Segundo” or the “Buenavista Social Club”.
Tuesday, June 14: 8:30 PM, rhythm gymnastics show by the Asd Il Gabbiano; 9:30 PM “Bar West” live music with “De’ Lux”, semi-acoustic trio of Italiani singersongwriters.
Wednesday, June 15: 9:30 PM, exhibition of artistic roller skating/ Asd Pattinando San Casciano; 9:30 PM “Bar West”, theatre improv with the “Banda Barattoli”.
Thursday, June 15: 9:30 PM, recital by the dance school of Chiesanuova, Sancaballet. Friday, June 16: 9:30 PM “Bar Wesy”, “Eurotunz”, the mythhic Eurodance 1990’s, all live, with the objective…to make you dance!
