As we know, San Donato in Poggio, is a Medieval village of blinding beauty. It is set on a hill on the border between Florentine and Sienese Chianti Classico and in ancient times was a border territory.

It still conserves the features of a small walled city. From the entrance doors of Palazzo Malaspina, to the internal winding streets and alleys, to the Romanic church located outside of the “fortifications”, it is a town which has been living a new vitality recently, encouraged by the local Pro Loco together with the Township of Tavarnelle and the Town Union of Chianti Fiorentino.

In the center of town, is the heartbeat of the restored Palazzo Malaspina, highly regarded cultural seat, alive throughout the year. The Pro Loco of San Donato in Poggio has given us a small but grand gift. The video that you see above shows us the town from a new prospect. Enjoy!
