The Tuscan Region, with the support of the “Fondazione Sistema Toscana” and the “Toscana Promozione Turistica”, will start the summer season with “Toscana arcobaleno d’estate” (Tuscany, a Summer Rainbow).

As part of the initiative, the Archeological Museum of the Sienese Chianti area will open its doors to an evening opening, first of the appointments with the traditional summer museum visits, in Castellina. Entrance to the archeological collection and the Medieval fortress is free.

Starting at 9:15pm, in the nearby Church of SS. Salvatore and the “Schola Cantorum” of Castellina in Chianti, (directed by Paolo Gragnoli), there will be a concert by the Masterworks Choir of Florence, South Carolina, directed by William Carswell. With a repertoire of classical music, they will close the 16th International Review of Choral Singing “Itinerari vocali nel Chianti”.
